Complete History of the World is a heavy tome published by The Times. As its name suggest, this book provides mapping of history. It begins with human origins and early cultures, and moves sector by sector towards the present. A large team of people were involved in assembling all the details, which cover every part of the world.
Complete History of the World was first published in 1978. Since then, many revision. The present one is the eighth edition completed in 2010 and reprinted in 2011. The maps were originally handdrawn, but since 1998 have been completely overhauled and gradually replaced with digitized versions, with the 2007 edition being the first with all the maps generated by computer.
Complete History of the World is a mersmerizing book, and I managed to get it for a song. Popular Bookshop is having a renovation clearance sale at Queensbay Mall at the moment, and this is one of the few books worth buying at the sale.
